There are more than 160 young people registered with the group, the majority of whom come from ethnic minority inner city communities in Birmingham.
A high proportion of our members also come from disadvantaged backgrounds. The scout group plays a pivotal role in positively engaging these young people in a safe and caring environment. Through the scouting programme, we seek to develop the potential talent and skills of these young people and empower them to serve the wider community.
The group is run by a team of around 40 volunteer leaders, who are all DBS checked and trained to deliver the scouting programme and work with young people aged 6 – 18. Throughout the year, we run a series of physical, educational, recreational and leisure activates for our scouts. Some of our activities include:
